To ensure health care services of international standards, IHL shall employ senior consulting physicians, highly trained experienced nurses and skilled technical staff. These employees will be recruited from abroad in the initial years of the hospital. Approximately around 45 expatriates are expected to be providing service at the hospital.

Building Commissioning, Hospital Commissioning & Operations Management

The commissioning of the building is in progress, headed by Engineer Strohmayer Siegfried as Project Director. VAMED has also engaged Bio-Medical Consultant who is assisting IHL towards preparation of a detail list of equipment, instruments &furniture including selection and installation.

VAMED has also engaged IT consultant in connection with selection of IT cables, development of specifications for software including selection and installation of software & hardware.

VAMED shall assist IHL in the recruitment, training, orientation and supervision of senior management team.They shall also assist day-to-day operation of IHL with intention to provide the highest level of service initially for a period of 5 (five) yearsincluding technology transfer.

Commissioning of the Hospital

It is planned that commissioning of the hospital shall take place at the 2nd quarter of 2017.

Imperial College of Nursing (ICN) and Allied Health

In conjunction with the Imperial Hospital Limited (IHL), it is the planned development of the Imperial College of Nursing (ICN) which will provide a four year B.Sc. in Nursing under the University of Chittagong. Similarly a 3 year course in different Allied Health Technology leading to Diploma shall be run by the college.

The primary aim of the Imperial College of Nursing is to assist in developing a well-educated nursing work force that is able to serve the people of Bangladesh and provide patient and family centered quality health care. Nurses from the Imperial College of Nursing will provide quality nursing care to individuals and families within the context of community that reflects a commitment to the professional nursing values of altruism, autonomy, human dignity, integrity, and social justice.
